Brake Bleed Question
Author Last Post

I find a piece of tubing sized to fit inside your too large bleeder tool and small enough to fit your bleeder nipple. If you've got the time, you only have to run a piece of tubing from the nipple into a jar and let it gravity bleed for a few minutes. Don't apply the brake during this unless you've got a surplus of fluid in the jar, as when you release the lever you'll suck air back in. Better to suck brake fluid back in.

I need to bleed the front brake on my 2011 F650GS. I purchased a Stockton Brake Bleeder Tool from Cycle Gear, but the tubing is too large for the 6mm nipple on the master cylinder. No one at Cycle Gear could give me any input on something better and the poor guy at Wild West Motorsports was new and a bit clueless.

So, any idea which brake bleeder (1) will work and (2) won't break the bank?

And when will we have another tech day?

Thanks,

Lee
