Club Meeting Minutes from 5/11/2026 at Wolfsmiths

o I counted 22 participants in the Club meeting conducted at
Wolfsmiths today. This included new members and visitors.
The weather folks forcast of heavy rain turned out to be
incorrect. Kudos to all the riders who didn't check the forcast!
o Kevin Clark provided a presentation on the recent Lost
Maples Park Campout in Vanderpool Texas. 17 Riders
participated. He also talked about the two riders that
had flat tires, and his use of the DynaPlug to repair them.
o Premium BMW Woodlands has a dealer breakfast get together
for us on Saturday, 5/23, 9am. We can do Club membership
renewals at that time. It's also been added to the Club
Calendar.
o roadguardians.org shows a Basic 100 Class being offered
in Fulshear Texas on 5/23 as well. Cost is $50 and is
only on that Saturday.
o BMW Car Club and our BMW Motorcycle club will once
again have a combined gathering of the two clubs at
the BMW Car Dealership in Katy on Sunday, October 11th.
Ride your Classic bikes if possible.
o Jerry Matson coordinated the IRONMAN Motorcycle support
group on April 18th. Hopefully we can get him to talk about
that during our next Club meeting.
o Safety on Two Wheels is offering Advanced Street
Training and Offroad courses. See the website

o Next MOA Rally is June 11-13 at the Champlain Valley
Exposition Center in Essex Junction, Vermont. The
event features 130 acres of space for camping and RVs,
offering easy access to scenic Vermont riding routes.
Alex Lima is looking for other members riding up.
o Our 2026 Annual Club Rally at the Oak Thicket Park in
Lake Fayette is scheduled for October 30 - November 1.
o These dates include the daylight savings weekend.
o Nick Bell has agreed to lead the Road Rideing course
on Saturday morning.
o Need someone to lead the off-road trip.
o Club has two cabins reserved and we need to discuss
who might be interested in splitting the cost, auction
them off, or just release them.
o Some of us plan to stay at the Best Western in La Grange,
just a few minutes down the road.
o Wild West Motoplex in Katy will have the BMW Demo truck
onsite 8/14-8/15. Prior registration for rides is required.

o The LDX Rally was just conducted the week of May 2nd

mananging the 2027 Ironbutt Rally.

Marshall participants to start in October of 2026.

o The question about availability of the Schuberth C5
helmet series was raised, and alot of the larger sizes
are no longer in stock. Does anyone have any rumors
about a possible new replacement (C6)??
o Facebook group bmwmotorcycleclubofhouston has been
updated. Member count there is growing, and nobody
has a bad comment on our last meeting!!
o Action Items:
o Start a thread for riders that plan to go up to the
BMW MOA Rally in Vermont starting June 11.
o Start a thread for those interested in renting the
two camping cabins we have reserved for the Club
Rally in Lake Fayette on October 30.
o Next Club meeting will be at WOLFSMITHS on 6/13/2026,
and it starts at 8AM again per Fernando!
