A “Black and Tan” ride = 2-2.5 hrs of low-traffic blacktops and gravel roads (nothing too technical). We end up at Fish Pond Café for brunch around 10 AM.  May ride a bit more from there, or call it a day depending on the weather and what the group wants to do.

This is a ride for folks who like to avoid the traffic and catch some Texas backroads and sites that few get to see.  There are no sweeping 80 mph turns—rather, we keep it slow and easy and enjoy the countryside view.  We will even encourage you to drop your tire pressure a bit once we pull onto our first gravel section (~25 psi). It makes a HUGE difference in your comfort and control!
