All,
I'm planning to ride on Saturday, either to the Blue Moon, which is more or less due north of Bryan or to the Salt Lick, in Driftwood, southwest of Austin.
Both routes start from Brookshire, with the Blue Moon being a 245 mi round trip and the Salt Lick 333 mi round trip.
The Blue Moon route features a lot of twists and turns and a few ups and downs in the bunny trail, mostly through forests, though there is some farm land as well. I am less familiar with the route to Driftwood, but it appears to be a more farmland and some forests (more or less like the drive to Austin, but not on highways).
If you would like to go, please let me know your preference before Friday afternoon. Both gpx files are attached (hopefully), but if you cannot download those, let me know and I'll email them to you. Not to prejudice the issue, but I'm leaning towards the Blue Moon.
